Advancing Blockchain and FinTech Globally

As of May 2017, more than 24 countries have programs in blockchain technology. More than 90 central banks are investigating the development and application of blockchain technology. More than 190 large transnational corporations have joined some major blockchain technology alliances. Pre-launched at the Blockchain4SDGs Forum in Washington DC on January 7th, 2017, Global Digital Economy Council aims to bring together institutions and global leaders to provide thought leadership and implement impactful initiatives to scale up digital economy solutions around the world.

Powered by the Global Digital Economy Council, the Global Digital Economy Hub (GDEH) is a network of organizations that share the same vision in scaling up blockchain and distributed ledger technologies for a better world. 15 Blockchain and FinTech Incubators and Accelerators from 7 countries are members of the Hub.

Since its inauguration, more than 20,000 community members have been interacting regularly with the Global Digital Economy Council in more than 10 countries. In 2017 alone, the Council hosted or co-hosted more than 50 blockchain events in 10 countries. Altogether, more than 100,000 business leaders and 10,000+ companies joined these events. Our Global Partnership Framework has become one of the most important tools for blockchain start-ups to develop innovative collaborations with industrial leaders.
